  •  Each family MUST have someone volunteer half of each meet your child swims - first half or second half
  • ALL means ALL for volunteer requirements - we cannot run our swim meets without our parent volunteers
  • If you are not signed up for a volunteer position by the end of the business day on Monday of each week (5 PM), your child will not be entered to swim in the meet on Wednesday
  • All families are to stay and help with cleanup following home meets

Volunteer roles include:

  • Hospitality
  • Meet Set Up / Tear Down (for home meets)
  • Ribbons
  • Runner
  • Starter Judge (for away meets)
  • Stroke & Turn Judge
  • Timer
  • Zoo Keeper

Timer Information

  • There should be 3 timers in each lane. There must be 1 timer from each team represented.
  • Stop watches should be started with the strobe light (not the sound).
  • You must be looking down over the edge of the pool to see the underwater touch at the finish of a race, which is when you stop your timer.
  • Backstroke Finish - it is acceptable to place your hand against the wall during backstroke finishes to stop the young swimmers from hitting their head on the wall. Please DO NOT touch the swimmer’s head and ease them into the wall. This could result in a DQ for the swimmer .
