ALL DELAYS OR CANCELLATIONS WILL BE VIA EMAIL AND SWIMTOPIA ALERT!

• Cold Weather = in order to practice, the combined temp of water and air must be 130 degrees
• Storms = 20 minute delay for lightning
• Practice cancellations will be made as soon as it is determined it is unsafe. Cancellation notices will be sent out via notification through Swimtopia (alert). Please pay attention to the app during practice times. Please note that on occasion, one practice may be cancelled and the other held if the weather improves.
• Meets - if cancelled will be rescheduled for the following evening (Thursday)

1. The safety and well-being of the swimmers will always be the first consideration when the continuation of a swim meet is in question. The following rule shall apply in the presence of LIGHTNING: If lightning is sighted, the pool deck must be cleared for a minimum of 20 minutes. If no further lightning is sighted, then the meet may continue. If lightning continues to be sighted, then the league representatives will jointly decide if continuation of the swim meet is in the best interest of the swimmers. In any event, lightning must remain unsighted for a minimum of 20 minutes, prior to the continuation of the swim meet. 
2. All meets should be completed if possible. If unable to complete on the scheduled date, every attempt should be made to reschedule the meet the following night (Thursday.) 
3. If a scheduled meet is canceled, for any reason, it is the responsibility of the Home team to notify the Visiting team (team rep or designated person) NO LATER THAN 5:00 p.m. 
4. If re-scheduling attempts are unsuccessful, the meet will be considered complete after 40 events. In case a later event is interrupted, the last full cycle of events will be scored. (40, 50, 60). All events swum will be counted for the individual child (ribbons awarded, times counted, dual meet credit toward Championships, etc.)
