Windsboro Waves Swim Club

Windsboro Waves is a recreational summer swim team open to all children 6 – 18 who live in the surrounding neighborhoods close to Highland Park Elementary  in Lees Summit, MO.  These neighborhoods include:  Windsboro, Summit Mill, Mill Creek, Canterbury, Fields of Highland Park, Somerset, Ashton, Legacy Woods, and Woodland Shores.  Additionally, grandchildren of Windsboro residents are eligible to swim with the Waves.

No previous swim team experience is necessary to join the team, however, swimmers should be able to swim one length of the pool without stopping for 25 yards. Practices will focus on stroke refinement and improving endurance in a fun, supportive team environment.

Skills Assessment – All new swimmers will participate in a skills assessment at the end of the first week of practice to determine swim team readiness. The skills assessment requires a swimmer to be able to independently swim the length of the pool without stopping and/or grabbing the lane line or pushing off the bottom of the pool. Any swimmer who is unable to successfully complete this requirement will be refunded their registration fee less a $25 processing fee and encouraged to return the following swim season.
